Neural Monitoring With CMOS Image Sensors
Implantable image sensors have several biomedical applications due to their miniature size, light weight, and low power consumption achieved through sub-micron standard CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) technologies. The main applications are in specific cell labeling, neural activity detection, and biomedical imaging. In this paper the recent research studies on implantable CMOS i...
متن کاملLow Power Decimator Design Using Bit-Serial Architecture for Biomedical Applications
Due to limited battery capacity, electronics in biomedical devices require low power consumption. On the other hand, biomedical devices that integrate multiple functions like sensing, amplification, signal conditioning, signal processing, data storage, etc. have put a greater constraint on power consumption for each functional unit. This paper presents a low power design of a decimator for a si...
متن کاملDesign of PhotoFET for monolithic active pixel sensors in high energy physics and biomedical imaging applications
Monolithic active pixel sensors using standard low-cost CMOS technology available from industrial manufacturers have demonstrated excellent tracking performances for minimum ionising particles in high energy physics and biomedical imaging applications. A new design of PhotoFET is presented. This structure offers the advantage of integrating amplification inside the sensing element using a PMOS ...

This paper examines the apparent limits, possible extensions, and applications of CMOS technology in the nanometer regime. Starting from device scaling theory and current industry projections, we analyze the achievable performance and possible limits of CMOS technology from the point of view of device physics, device technology, and power consumption. Various possible extensions to the basic lo...
متن کاملDesign of High CMRR Instrumentation Amplifier for Biomedical Systems
This paper describes an instrumentation amplifier (INA) with three operational amplifier (op amp) topology, for biomedical applications. To achieve low offset new circuit technique is achieved by adding NMOS transistor and two phase clock scheme with a frequency of 20 KHz. With the unity gain bandwidth of 92 KHz , the open loop gain of this instrumentation amplifier is found to be 50 dB and hav...
